Our SIA Cargo Mumbai team is proud to transport the station’s first temperature sensitive pharmaceutical coolchain shipment in insulated ULDs on 3 January, 2013. The team has been developing this business and we are delighted to secure the shipment which comprised of 4 Envirotainer RKN t2 containers from Mumbai to Sydney.

After our sales and reservation staff have received the booking, we made the necessary arrangements to ensure that the empty containers arrived Mumbai on time. Upon arrival of the empty Enviortainer containers, our operations staff coordinated with our ground handling agent to ensure that the containers were appropriately pre-cooled. The required temperature was set as well. In addition, our operations staff, also monitored the temperature readings closely.

Successful handling of this temperature sensitive shipment has boosted our team’s confidence and we look forward to accepting many more of such shipments in the near future.
