It contributes 20% of India’s total exports. Dyes, chemicals and pharmaceuticals are the leading export commodities. Others include fabrics, garments, perishables and engineering goods. Cargo capacity comes from the bellyhold space of SIA’s thrice-weekly B777-200 passenger services. Launched on 28 July 2004, it was the first scheduled service to the city by a foreign airline.
