SIA started flying to New Delhi, India’s capital, in April 1986
with a twice-weekly B747-200 passenger service. Freighter services
to the city were launched in October 1993. Today New Delhi is served

Mumbai also serves as a gateway for neighbouring cities like Pune,
Goa and Indore from where export commodities are sent by bonded trucks
to Mumbai for uplift by air to other destinations.
