It was 30 years ago on 1 May 1976 that a twice-weekly B707 service from Singapore to Dubai and onward to Amsterdam was launched by SIA. The service has since grown to 13 weekly flights to the UAE today, using the ultramodern B777 aircraft. Cargo capacity and traffic on the route have also grown significantly in tandem with the increased services.
