It is the fourth consecutive win in a row SIA Cargo has once again been voted Best Air Cargo Carrier at the 2005 Asia Logistics Awards (ALA), following similar successes in 2002, 2003 and 2004. The award ceremony was held in Shanghai on 3 November 2005.

SIA Cargo has continued to place customer satisfaction at the top of its priority list, with improvements in service capability and global reach constantly being sought. We are delighted that these efforts are recognised in the marketplace and would like to thank everybody who voted for SIA Cargo this year, as well as our dedicated staff, said Mr Koh Kah Heok, General Manager, China.

Over the past 12 months, SIA Cargo's services have become available on an even wider network as the Boeing 747-400 Mega Ark freighter fleet has grown, with additional frequencies being added on high demand routes to China and beyond to the United States, as well as to major cities in India. A new service linking Brussels, Johannesburg and Singapore was also launched in 2005.

Booking and tracking shipments on SIA Cargo has been made even easier with customers and agents now able to enjoy the full benefits of enhanced online systems.

The ALA is a prestigious event which celebrates excellence, innovation and efficiency across Asia's logistics industries. It is organised yearly by the Informa Group, publisher of Lloyd's Freight Transport Buyer Asia.

Readers of Lloyd's Freight Transport Buyer Asia first select the finalists for each of the Award categories, basing their choice on their professional experience and on a set of voting guidelines. An independent panel of judges, comprising industry experts, then decides on the winner for each category from among the finalists.
