Staff Join Sheares Bridge Run To Raise Funds For Adopted Charity
Some of the11 Cargo staff who took part in the SAFRA Sheares Bridge Run, not to win, but to raise funds for SIA Cargo's adopted charity.

In the spirit of fun and giving, 11 SIA Cargo staff recently took to the streets of Singapore to raise funds for the company' s adopted charity the Singapore Children's Society (SCS).

Our team participated in the annual SAFRA Sheares Bridge Run on 11 September 2005 in the non-competitive race category, but with our own self-directed challenge: To seek sponsors who would pledge a dollar for every kilometre we each completed.

The more adventurous among us and there were four ran the 12-km Mini-Marathon while the rest were quite satisfied to do the 6-km City Run.

Starting off at Esplanade Drive, the participants ran over Sheares Bridge, where our 6-km runners broke off to return to St Andrews Road via the Fountain of Wealth by Suntec City.

Our gallant mini-marathoners returned to St Andrews Road via the National Stadium and the very picturesque Marina Promenade.
