Singapore Airlines Cargo has won the prestigious "Top
Airline for Outstanding Service" award at the Federation
of Asia-Pacific Aircargo Associations' (FAPAA) first ever
award ceremony held in Udaipur, India.
Singapore Airlines Cargo scored the highest rating in the
ballot of FAPAA members, who evaluated parameters including
uplift & delivery commitments, track & trace capabilities,
pre-shipment service, staff service and overall value for
money.
"In the highly competitive international airfreight
market, SIA Cargo recognises the critical importance of remaining
constantly focused on customer needs, improving service reliability
and expanding its global reach. It is therefore reassuring
to know that the airline's high standards are valued by its

FAPAA was founded in 1985 and has grown to focus on the combined
needs of national aircargo associations in sixteen countries
across the region. It is also committed to enhance the growth
and development of regional aircargo services.
SIA Cargo currently operates a fleet of fourteen Mega Ark
Boeing 747- 400 freighters on a global network that extends
to 75 cities in 38 countries. Two new Boeing 747-400 freighters
are scheduled to join the fleet later this year and the airline
also has orders for three
Boeing 747-400 passenger to freighter conversions, which will
be delivered between 2007 and 2009. SIA Cargo also markets
the entire cargo capacity of the SIA passenger aircraft fleet
on its worldwide network. The airline is also a member of
the WOW Alliance and Cargo 2000.
