Passengers with excessive check-in baggage (i.e in-addition to the standard baggage allowance) can send their goods as unaccompanied baggage based on the published cargo rate, instead of paying high excess baggage rate at check-in.
In certain stations, there will be other additional charges in addition to the unaccompanied baggage rate. This will vary according to the local requirement. Due to security restrictions, unaccompanied baggage are accepted from the USA only on SIA Cargo freighter aircraft and through Freight Forwarders.
No dangerous goods or restricted articles are allowed in the unaccompanied baggage.
